Greg is a U.S. Army Veteran and retired U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA NRCS) Soil Scientist and Farm Bill Compliance Specialist. An alumni of Virginia Tech, he has nearly 3 decades of experience in soil survey, wetland delineation, and highly erodible land and wetland conservation compliance. He has also taught soil science at Tidewater Community College and served as a trainer in a variety of soil science and wetland delineation training programs. Greg’s name is well recognized in the soil science, wetland compliance, and agricultural sectors of the mid-Atlantic region. Greg's wife, Allison, is a U.S. Navy Veteran and former USDA NRCS Soil Scientist. She currently works full-time as a GIS Specialist and teaches part-time at Virginia Wesleyan University.  She supports the behind-the-scenes operations of Hammer Environmental in her free time.
