Greg is a U.S. Army Veteran and retired U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA NRCS) Soil Scientist and Farm Bill Compliance Specialist. An alumni of Virginia Tech, he has over 30 years of experience in soil survey, wetland delineation, and highly erodible land and wetland conservation compliance. He has also taught soil science at Tidewater Community College and served as a trainer in a variety of soil science and wetland delineation training programs. Greg’s name is well recognized in the soil science, wetland compliance, and agricultural sectors of the mid-Atlantic region. Greg's wife, Allison, is a U.S. Navy Veteran and former USDA NRCS Soil Scientist. She currently works full-time as a GIS Specialist and teaches part-time at Virginia Wesleyan University.  She supports the behind-the-scenes operations of Hammer Environmental in her free time.
